The term "first responder" refers to those individuals who in the early stages of an incident are responsible for the protection and preservation of life as well as emergency management, public health, clinical care, public works, and other skilled personnel that provide immediate support services during prevention, response, and recovery operations. To operate they need a reliable network that is provided by AT&T.
We had to represent this story with a one-hour piece for the exterior media wall at the AT&T Discovery District.
Our concept was to use light as a common thread and narrative tool to show how the AT&T network enables and makes responders mission ready.
Here are the three chapters I developed:
As the various emergency services start to respond to the incident, we see light sculptures looking like long exposure photographs of traffic emerging across the city and their first responders.
This is the peak dramatic scene, all units have arrived at the incident, there's lots of chaos in an intense foggy environment.
As the city powers back up, vibrant heroic first responders reveal with intimate and hyper-realistic portraits.
