We collaborated on a series of visual and technical experiments for SPACE10, the innovation lab of Ikea.
The purpose of our experiments was to try and find new ways to use technology to change our perception of home. Our goal was to find unique and personal ways of reimagining how we interact with our space and furniture, using sensitivity and creativity to discover unrealised potential.
I have personally worked on Fort Builder, Extreme Measures, and Chain of Traceability.
Subverting everyday norms, ignoring the limits of gravity, to reconsider the everyday use of objects at home, to create your own cocoon, your fort.
This speculative design prototype allows you to place "elephants" anywhere in your home. The elephants are a novel way to measure how much space you have, as they inflate to the confines of your newly-discovered spaces.
Chain of Traceability explores how spatial computing can help consumers make better decisions by revealing the details about the object's production history, material composition, and its carbon footprint, to get a better understanding of the circular economy. Object detection and material information stored on the blockchain give everyone access to help them make more informed purchases.
